Jade Sun
Jade Sun is a Chinese illustrator and printmaker based in New York City. She received a BA Political Science degree from UNC Chapel Hill. After graduation, she studied illustration at Fashion Institute of Technology and printmaking at the Art Student League of New York. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Illustration at School of Visual Arts.
Most of Jade’s works are done in hard ground etching and aquatint. Cultivated by her liberal arts education background, her works capture the nuances of emotion and energy from memories. She communicates deconstructed emotional flows with intricate textures and monochromic tones. Her works got various recognitions from 3x3 Magazine, American Illustration, etc..
